Ring Road Networks: Access for Anyone

چکیده
Several billion people currently lack reliable access to the Internet and thus a tremendous source of knowledge. In this article, we describe field-tested communication approach combining CubeSat platforms delay-tolerant networking (DTN) solutions provide asynchronous connectivity populations regions that are underserved by Internet. The resulting class networks is known as ring road (RRNs), built on technology developed for construction solar system necessary self-sufficiency DTN nodes enables network be deployed incrementally at low cost, supporting communities cannot profitably served satellite constellations. We present RRN architecture evaluate expected performance means simulations. Based latter, discuss µD3TN: lightweight open protocol stack RRNs other classes. µD3TN has been flight-tested in ESA's OPS-SAT Earth orbit during December 2020 May 2021. This work discusses experiment results validated concrete application use cases. reported outcomes motivate new domain.

objectives the main aim of this study was to assess the road emergency sites (recs) in iran. materials and methods provincial data were used for this purpose. concentration index, concentration curve, lorenz curve, and the gini coefficient were calculated to assess the distribution of recs. results the results of this study showed that the distribution of recs was in favor of provinces with hig...
متن کاملFair Access in WDM ring networks
Packet-based optical access ring is becoming a promising solution in metropolitan networks. Its performance depends mainly on how optical resource sharing takes place among the different competing access nodes. In such a network fairness issues are likely to arise between upstream and downstream nodes competing to access a common data channel. We analyze the system performance in terms of acces...
